Downward Spiral Upward Promotion
One of God’s greatest desires is to see you reign from a mountaintop. In order to get us on that mountain is the test of a lifetime. To get to the top, we must complete a steep climb. Abraham found that out. Our flesh loves attention and promotion, and we want it instantly. In the Spirit world, however, the emphasis is on Him, not the flesh. If promotion comes, easy arrogance can step in. Jesus, the Son of God, before His resurrection leading up to His crucifixion, looked to many as if He were on a downward spiral. He could have chosen not to do certain things and played the popularity game. His disciples let Him down, He dealt with a traitor, and with His humiliation and crucifixion, one would have wondered how much worse it could have gotten. He had to visit hell to get the keys to hell from Satan, and then the turning point came. Before He was resurrected, He made the turning point when He took the keys of death from the hands of Satan. Today, 2,000 years after His resurrection, untold millions are sons and daughters because of His humiliation, etc. Your greatest promotion is in the waiting shortly after your greatest humiliation. Your downward spiral is about to turn upward sooner, for Jesus is still with you. You may still be at a bad place but already made the turn towards the upward spiral. Soon, your turn-around will show for all to see.
